Office 365 allows you to associate a photo or picture with your account.

Applies To:

  • All Office 365 Accounts (staff, interns and temps)

Detailed:

  • Log in to Virtual Office and log in to Office 365 by clocking the Windows icon – Bottom left
  •  Click on your name in the top right-hand corner then click “Change Account Picture”.

  • Click Browse to locate your picture and choose your image

  • Upload a UWCM appropriate photo of yourself to be included in Office 365 and Skype For Business or contact HR which now has a photo of everyone that will be used on badges; you can use this same photo in Office 365.  The photos are located in a secure folder so you need to contact Julia Smith and she will forward a copy of your photo to you and you can save it in your H (home) drive in the “Pictures” folder.

Adding your photo to Office 365 is a great feature for many reasons:

  • Company security to help ensure a person is who they say they are.
  • Now that we are using Skype, if you do not want to use the video camera on your computer or cell phone so that other participants can see you live, it is a good alternative for everyone to be able to at least see your picture.
  • Good CRM tool.  What better way to build a relationship with constituents.  Instead of a plain generic email, your email will seem more personal if it contains your picture.
  • Guard against personal insecurity by helping you identify new people (or those who you feel foolish for having forgotten!).  Good for internal and remote users.
